With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it's easy to fall behind with your company's accounting. - Set 1 hour aside each week to work on your accounting. Pick a day that you tend to be less busy, maybe it's Friday after lunch or Wednesday mornings. Actually schedule time for your business.
- Integrate your accounts into your financial software. This doesn't mean transactions will be "automatically" entered for you, but it does save time on keying things in and you can run through the list faster each week.
- File! Don't put your paperwork into a bin to file/scan later. Do it right away!
